Many people mistaken compare CoQ10s based on the total amount of CoQ10 per dose. However, many products try to cover up their poor absorption by luring customers in with high doses that on the surface seem more effective. But in reality ordinary CoQ10 is poorly absorbed by the body because CoQ10 molecules occur naturally in crystals, these crystals are bound to each other in a form that is too large for the bodys cells to absorb. They also have a relatively hard time traveling through the digestive system because they are fat-soluble in comparison to molecules that are water-soluble. So while on the surface youd think that a higher dose is better, its not. The higher the dose, the lower the percentage absorbed.
